Hello!
Heya, it’s been a while folks! So this is the start of something new, a series of sorts in which i get out the studio and visit yours. I’m doing this for a few reasons.
1. Radio before COVID-19 pandemic was always a little exciting, rush to the studio with the tracks get comfy in a nicely lit room, speak slowly to an imagined you! On edits no 2nd guesses, just “Lonely Girls Radio”. Since then, many system have been automated and we have the option of uploading shows, which mean just more time in front of a screen at my home studio, 2nd guessing this and that, ajust the levels Cutting a second there, and no running ;). That’s just more work alone, I was unmoved.
2. I’m curious about your setup, what gear is placed close to you what how to balance your living and sound space, in your Tar Paper town. What sound are in using, what projects are you working on with who? Dish the Tea! This is the energy i want to connect with.
3. Making is hard to complete, focus is hard to find. This Music-ing, and it’s not a product. I hope that sharing this process will demystify and inspire others to be curious about their own voice.
“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”

Episode #01
First out the block, is a visit to my dear friend Matt Skillings, who actually just dropped over for coffee, he’s off to take a second bash at recording an overdub for the track tentatively titled Life Is Hard for the band Vanilla Bats. Have a listen to what happens in a studio hour, away from the product of music and into the soundscape of the studio.
